Average Animal Art, Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center's delightfully unpredictable pet portrait fundraiser, returns September 21–25, 2026.

Submit a favorite photo of your dog, cat, rabbit, reptile, bird, or other beloved pet, choose your portrait package, and let one of our staff members, volunteers, or community artists transform your pet into a completely original work of art.

Will it be adorable? Maybe.

Will it be museum-worthy? We'll let you decide.

Will it help homeless pets? Absolutely.

Every Average Animal Art purchase supports the animals at Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center in Riverside, CA, helping provide shelter, medical care, enrichment, and second chances to pets in need.

How Average Animal Art Works

Choose your portrait package and submit a clear photo of your pet between September 21 and September 25.

Then comes the artistic chaos.

This year's portraits will be created during a special Average Animal Art Artist Night on September 25, when our artists will gather at a local brewery and put their talents to work turning your pets into one-of-a-kind masterpieces.

No two portraits will be alike, and that's exactly the point.

The Classic | $15

One delightfully average custom pet portrait created by one mystery artist.

Simple. Original. Potentially frame-worthy.

Double Take | $25

One pet. Two artists. Two completely different interpretations.

You'll receive two unique portraits of the same pet, each created through a different artistic lens.

Triple Threat | $40

Why stop at one?

You'll receive three unique portraits of your pet created by three different artists, plus a keepsake bookmark featuring all three masterpieces.
